A sarong, a lungi and a pareo are actually all the same piece of clothing – a skirt made out of about two metres of cloth wrapped around the hips. Sarongs are common in Thailand, lungis are from India and pareos are used in the South Pacific (Tahiti). In our area, though, most people are familiar with the term "sarong".
Most of the sarongs on our site are made in India especially for Ufash, many with hand-printed batik cloth. Sarongs can come with open or sewn-up ends. An open sarong can also be used as a tablecloth or as a towel while travelling.
Sarongs can be worn by both men and women, and they’re the perfect piece of clothing for a cozy evening at home, a sunny day at the beach or a relaxing sauna session.
It’s very easy to wrap a sarong skirt. You can find video instructions on our "How to wrap a sarong" page.
We have a large selection of sarong designs in our shop. One big advantage is that we use Amazon to send our sarongs, so they’re delivered quickly and come with a money-back guarantee!
Of course, sarongs and lungis are also wrap-around skirts, but this separate section highlights skirts with an elastic band for even easier wrapping.
Here, you can find wrap-around skirts with appliqué or batik (tie dye) designs and even fun skirts for fancy dress parties, Halloween and Carnival.
